Children’s Portrait Album for Artwork

One of the most beautiful and unique ways to showcase your artwork from a portrait session or wedding is with a custom album.  There are literally hundreds of ways to design your heirloom piece, with a variety of leathers, canvas, metals, and silks.  Being a portrait and wedding photographer in Tampa (especially in South Tampa), I often hear, “I want to display my images but I just don’t have any wall space”.  The perfect answer?  A custom album!  I wanted to share Lila Bo’s albums from her last 3 portrait sessions.  After discovering that LB’s mommy did not like putting holes in her walls (yep…that is what she told me and after a session at their home I know it is the truth! :)), we decided that albums were the best route for Donna to display her daughter’s images.  Now each year we customize LB’s session based on what we know the final product will be, and we design the shoot around that.  One year Donna wanted to have Lila’s session at a horse barn since they are very involved with horses.  For this album album, I had an idea of a 10×20 album with tan leathers and cow-hyde to match the look and feel of the barn.  Here was the final product: The following year we had LB’s portrait session at her home.  Again, we carefully planned out wardrobe and style based on the style of album that we were aiming for.  This was a 12×12 smooth black leather with pink python trim/spine. Albums allow for a variety of wardrobe changes and locations.  Last year’s annual portrait session had a little more “edge” to it, so LilaBo’s outfits fit the bill as did the location.  The album was a 12×12 with crocodile black leather and a metal cameo. With this year’s annual session almost upon us, the challenge is on to find a unique location and design a unique album to match.  I encourage you to think outside the box if you are accustomed to only getting prints.  Albums are truly a cherished piece- for your portrait session and definitely for your wedding!  Make sure to check out our studio samples the next time you are in our South Tampa studio.
