Le Meridien is one of Tampa’s newest, most modern, and luxurious hotels in downtown. What used to be the old courthouse, is now a sleek and contemporary guest retreat that is right in the heart of the city. Tell us about holding a ceremony and/or reception at Le Meridien:
Ceremonies are located outside on the historic courthouse steps in front of beautiful large Corinthian Columns and are completely coordinated by our onsite wedding planner.
When did the Le Meridien first open?
June of 2014, Building was built in 1905
How many guests can you accommodate?
We can accommodate up to 130 guests seated and 160 guests reception style

The century-old historic federal courthouse has been transformed to reveal a 4 Diamond boutique hotel boasting elements of the original courthouse paired with artistic discoveries of modern today.

What is included when a couple books your venue for a wedding?
Complimentary hotel stay for bride and groom, discounted rates for wedding guests, complimentary admission to Tampa Museum of Art for overnight guests as well as complimentary Illy coffee, bottled water and downtown shuttle service. They will also receive $100’s off our Glam Room! The Glam room is an amazing bridal suite we have built on property that boasts Vanity tables, lots of floor length mirrors and plush lounge furniture. Ballroom is complete with banquet tables/chairs, Floor-length linen and complimentary house centerpieces.
How far in advance should a couple book their venue?
The average couple has been booking with us between 9 and 12 months prior to their wedding date. *We also welcome all wedding room blocks for other couples getting married nearby!
Do you offer wedding planning services? What makes your services different from the rest?
Onsite wedding planner has over 8 years of experience with over 3,000 events successfully completed! Will provide complete day of planning as well as assist with planning questions throughout the entire process.
How do you help couples customize their big day?
Our team is very flexible when it comes to event times, ballroom set up and menu selections!
Do you target any particular niche?
We get lots of lawyers and history enthusiasts! Mostly we are for the unique couple who is looking for something different and special.
Fun fact about the Le Meridien?
Le Meridien is a hotel brand created by Air France in Paris and picked up by Starwood in 2005. Guests will be able to receive SPG points for their event!
Have you had any strange requests for a wedding? (décor/themes?)
Being such a new property we are just 4 weddings in with hopes for a very busy and wedding filled future.
Most unique event that has taken place at your venue? Or most memorable?
Our biggest themed wedding thus far was decked out with beautiful Alice in Wonderland greenery, feathers and cards of Hearts. (and the bride was late for her very important date)
How is the Le Meridien different from other wedding venues?
With our unique marble flooring, large hallways and high ceilings we have the comfort and ease of hosting your event at a hotel but not the feel of it. There is nothing basic or common about us!
How/When did you start working for the Le Meridien?
I joined the Le Meridien team just in February of this year and have been in love ever since. I catch myself sometimes giving the “history tour” while speaking with couples because I am so taken in by the history and beauty of the building.
What interests do you have outside of work? Tell us who YOU are!
I am an artist at heart from painting to cooking, I love all things creative! Also, I am a sucker for flowers and shoes!
