Tampa Wedding Photography at the Straz Center

It is easy to say how excited we were for Heather and Jonah’s Tampa wedding at the Straz Center. After an awesome Tampa engagement session (click HERE to see), we anxiously awaited their big day. Heather and Jonah are the epitome of fun so we knew their wedding would be a blast..we were right! The day started at the Straz Center, where both bride and groom had their own dressing rooms- complete with amazing mirrored lighting that every girl wishes she had. The girls relaxed, talked and giggled about the day and rehearsed their reception entrance..a dance to Heather’s favorite singer..Beyonce! The boys were a little rowdier in their quarters (this is to be expected, right?), sipping on whiskey, hootin’ and hollerin’, and helping tie each others polka-dotted bow ties.


























Heather and Jonah chose to have a First Look, and spend some special time together before the ceremony. Jonah said to us, “This is the MOST intense moment so far…I feel like my heart is beating out of my chest”, as Heather walked up behind him.






The ceremony was tented waterfont on the Hillsborough River and had a beautiful floral garland as decoration. A duo sang while guests were seated and waited for the big moment; Heather walking down the aisle. After the short, sweet ceremony, guests were invited inside to cocktail hour where they had games like Jenga and corn-hole to enjoy while the bride and groom had some alone time for post wedding portraits and family formals.












Heather is a HUGE Alabama fan while the rest of the wedding party, including Jonah, are all GATORS! YEAH!




Since the wedding and wedding recception were at Tampa’s most stunning theater, it only made sense to have wedding details inspired by a theater. Popcorn anyone??


Before the new bride and groom entered the reception, we took advantage of the quite (and empty) spaces in the theater.




The reception took place at Maestro’s at the Straz, both bridesmaids and groomsmen had their own special entrance dance; then the party started! We took Heather and Jonah outside for their sparkler exit and then captured some nighttime portraits, complete with a Lamborghini! They two lovebirds zoomed off around the block while everyone cheered and clapped; a great ending to such a special day.

The best man (Johan’s twin brother) and maid of honor (Heather’s sister) had some funny and emotional things to say about their siblings!




The Straz Center after dark, with a stunning newly married couple, is pretty spectacular at night!
