Ever since Rhys and Kristy’s adorable Tampa engagement session in March, we have been looking forward to their Tampa wedding at the Grand Hyatt. These two have been a loving couple for many years, so it was exciting for family and friends to see them tying the knot. Rhys really brings out Kristy’s silly side, he is quite the jokester! His carefree personality and her sweet and seemingly innocent demeanor go hand in hand; they are tons of fun! Their beautiful, outside ceremony at the Grand Hyatt was such a special sight for their close friends and family.
Before the reception started, we had the opportunity to take Kristy and Rhys to the dock for Tampa sunset portraits (always a favorite of ours!), which we know was important to Kristy and Rhys. We were not disappointed- the sky was so stunning and had such an array of colors! After bride-groom portraits, the party really started at the reception. Guests dined on delicious cuisine, laughed over toasts, and danced the night away with our amazing bride and groom. There was even a special little surprise treat for Kristy; the groomsmen all channeled their inner “Magic Mike” and performed a special dance to the song “Pony.” Needless to say, it was entertaining! Overall Rhys and Kristy’s wedding day was so magical, it was such an honor for us to capture these special and memorable moments for them. We can’t wait to watch their love and family grow and capture more milestones.

Each bridesmaid had a unique dress that fit her unique style! The flowers were a perfect fall color representation- exactly what the couple wanted!

Our bride and groom chose to do a “First Look”- and I think they were so glad they did (and so were we). It allowed them time to see each other in private, to let the stress out, and gave them time to get some beautiful portraits and family portraits so they could join cocktail hour.
“Pararazzi…yes, we have arrived.” Such a goofy groom!

I must admit, one of my favorite aspects of a Tampa wedding, is a sunset like what Rhys and Kristy had!
The fall colors and decor made the ballroom at the Grand Hyatt look so rich and vibrant.
What wedding is complete without a visit from Flat Stanley for one of the flower girl’s class project?!
And last but not least…Magic Mike (or his long lost cousins) made an appearance! I think Kristy was shocked!
