Tampa Wedding Photography at The Epicurean Hotel for Jessica and Mike

We had been anxiously awaiting Jessica and Mike’s Tampa wedding day since their unique and fun Tampa engagement session back in October (see their engagement session HERE).  We lucked out with some beautiful Tampa weather this past weekend, which was fantastic for their outdoor wedding reception at The Epicurean Hotel in south Tampa.

We started the day off with our lovely bride, Jessica, and her bridesmaids getting ready in their hotel suite; all had on matching pink and white striped pajamas and were sipping on celebratory drinks. Everyone spent the morning laughing, especially at Jessica’s dad who had a method of keeping his bow tie crisp- wrapping it in aluminum foil and then watching YouTube videos of how to properly tie his bowtie, a sight we have seen many times. There were many happy tears in our bridal suite as well when Jessica was finally dressed in the first of her two wedding dresses. Jessica and her dad also chose to have a “first look” with each other that had everyone shedding a tear.

The boys’ suite was a little more relaxed; drinking some beers and listening to some music while casually joking around. Mike looked dapper in his custom, blue tuxedo and black bowtie. Jessica surprised him with a Rolex for his wedding present, a gift that Mike couldn’t even believe was real. It is safe to say that his wedding party was a little jealous of Jessica’s amazing present.

Their Ybor city wedding ceremony at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church was a special sight for Jessica and Mike’s closest friends and family. The church featured lovely stained glass windows and white floral decor. Their tented, outdoor reception at The Epicurean hotel featured a long, wooden head table with tall, white floral centerpieces with green accents. Each table was filled with candlelight, adding a touch of romance along with their amber colored uplighting.

The couple and their guests wasted no time getting on the dance floor and dancing the night away underneath the beautiful Tampa sky.  It was a beyond lovely day and we are so honored that we were there to capture such memorable moments. We wish them so much love and happiness, and an incredible Hawaii honeymoon.
