Tampa Wedding at Armature Works for C & M

What an absolutely perfect day it was in Tampa on Saturday for Caitlyn and Matt’s Armature Works wedding!  While I am always honored to photograph a couple’s wedding, this one was particularly special and personal to me.  I first met Caitlyn over five years ago when my son started his first day of 1st grade, which was also Caitlyn’s official first day teaching and he was lucky enough to be in her class (and now, my daughter is fortunate enough to have Caitlyn as her teacher).  Since then I have gotten to know her and Matt, seen how truly kind and caring they both are, and watch their love story unfold.  They first met in college while at the University of Tampa, and even lived on the same floor, and were friends.  They did not date until after college and once they began dating, it was evident that this was meant to be. Both the bride ad groom hail from the New England area and had tons of friends and family members who converged upon Tampa Bay to celebrate their nuptials.  

Being the planner that Caitlyn is, she made sure to incorporate many special details into their wedding day, including a first look with her dad and of course, with her groom.  One unique aspect of this wedding was the fact that the couple had a first look with Caitlyn’s first grade class.  Yes, her students came dressed in their Sunday best to see their favorite teacher marry her best friend and it was PRECIOUS!  We were lucky enough to capture on of Tampa’s most gorgeous sunsets on the very bridge where Matt proposed, exactly one year ago to the date of their wedding!  Matt and Cait are truly two of the sweetest most genuine people you could ever meet.  I am so excited to see them start their married life together.  After meeting their families, I see where their get it from (thank you all for making us feel so comfortable and welcomed).  Congratulations to you both and wishing you all the love and happiness in the world!  xox
