Boudoir in Black and White

December 4, 2020

Black and whites are always a win when it comes to boudoir. Boudoir is supposed to be sexy not sexual. I think black and whites do a perfect job of setting the sexy tone in anyone’s boudoir gallery. It is a great way to bring out the subtleties of a women’s sexiness. Suddenly, the tone of the image becomes more mysterious. Black and whites also allow my clients to appreciate themselves as a whole, instead of focusing on every detail that they don’t like about there bodies. During a boudoir session, my goal is to capture the essence of you. Black and white images help my clients look past all the details and see that very essence. Black and whites are also very versatile. It can be classy, it can be sassy, it can be whatever you want it to be! It’s important for anyone who is thinking about doing a boudoir session to know this session is all about you and what your version of sexy is. I believe that women are their sexiest when they feel confident and are true to themselves. Are ready to explore your confidence and define your own sexy? Let’s capture your glamorous black and white moment together and book a boudoir session.

A Cozy Colorado Boudoir Shoot

October 12, 2020

I jokingly nicknamed this boudoir session “The Cindy Crawford At Home Collection”. What a beautiful Diamond Girl just looking effortlessly flawless sitting all cozy in her chunky sweater and leggings (don’t we all just sit around looking this fabulous?!)

I loved “K’s” cozy and relaxed looks. It was also a great time being able to shoot in such a unique space- her family’s log cabin in Colorado- that challenged my creativity as an artist which is always fun!

Due to covid-19 this Diamond Girl had to pivot from her dream like beach front Florida wedding and relocate her wedding to her family’s log cabin in Cripple Creek, Colorado. We were able to squeeze in a quick bridal boudoir shoot the day before her wedding and I am so glad we did. This colorado setting was so unique to my usual boudoir style and it was so much fun to shoot. Thank you to “K” for trusting me to photograph your wedding weekend! I had a such a fun time celebrating you and your groom:)

What to Bring to Your Boudoir Session

August 26, 2020

Boudoir is meant to take you out of your comfort zone but it is not meant to make you feel uncomfortable. Whatever you bring to your shoot should make you feel confident, beautiful, and sexy. Of course there are some essentials that I recommend like, a pair of black and neutral heels. Other than that, your photoshoot wardrobe it whatever you want. I don’t want you to think that lingerie is a requirement for a boudoir session. If that makes you nervous, no problem, brings what makes you feel like you! On the other hand, if shopping for sexy pieces sounds fun to you, then, bring it! For example, I love how for this shoot the client started off by keeping it simple and just bringing a simple matching Calvin Klein set. See, you can be comfortable and sexy at the same time! Let’s leave behind society’s expectations and focus on our own definitions of sexy.

A Safe Space to Feel Beautiful

July 31, 2020

I take great responsibility in creating a space for my clients to feel comfortable, and safe. The space you are in during your boudoir session is one of the most important elements to making my clients experience a great one.

It’s important that the trust between the photographer and the client is there. Through out these sessions I am sure to guide you so that you have a chance to warm up to the camera.

This is one of the reason why I tell my boudoir clients to bring an outfit to start off with that is comfy and makes them feel beautiful. I always will start off a boudoir session with my clients in this outfit first, and often times, the pictures we get from it are their favorites.

People are always intimidated by the word boudoir, but you don’t have to be half dressed to feel sexy. Boudoir is less about how you look and more about how you feel. That is why my number one goal during a boudoir session is to make you feel safe, comfortable, and most importantly beautiful.
