Thank you Larissa Scott and ABC Action News – WFTS – Tampa Bay for featuring my story and #Portraits4Progress! This project has truly taken flight and I hope it helps us all examine our own prejudices while supporting our black community.
As positive as I feel this project is, of course I had one negative nelly write to me to complain asking why I did not include police officers. Yes, of course I invited police officers to participate. 100% of our police force was on duty, busy protecting our community- and I thank them for their service. I’m thankful for those who were able to participate- from all ethnicities, backgrounds, beliefs, and walks of life.
