I am beyond excited to share Kim and Pete’s Cedar Rapids, Iowa wedding with you. (You can read about their Tampa engagement session HERE.). It has been so special to watch Kim and Pete’s love story unfold and grow; and even more special to be able to photograph their amazing wedding day in Iowa. The church was breathtaking:
And just as I suspected, Kim was a stunning bride!
Pete was rather handsome as well!
The colors were so bright and vivid- it really created a perfect look.
The groom and the groomsmen…just being guys! The “A” Team and the “B” Team. 🙂
The ceremony had me a bit choked up (and the groom as well….I love a good tear or two from the groom!)
So Pete and Kim are a “House Divided”- being Iowa and Iowa State alumni. (I would imagine this is like a Florida and Florida State rivalry). They took the Hawkeye bus from the ceremony to the reception- and around town for portraits, in the 107 degree weather! Pete was a trouper since he is the Cyclone!
I was loving the Iowa scenery and backdrops! Ok, so it was just a tad warm outside, but so worth it!
And because this bridal party likes to party, a quick stop into a local bar was a MUST!
Cutting the wedding cake:
As the sun went down, so did the temperature outside, so we grabbed these in a bean filed right outside the reception.
