We had a lovely Saturday in Tampa for Jenna and Sean’s Tampa wedding at The Rusty Pelican. The two, who met through mutual friends, have been together for four years so tying the knot was a very memorable day. It’s finally official!
We started the afternoon at the Westin Hotel where both bridal parties were getting ready. Jenna and her stunning bridesmaids all relaxed in their floral robes, sipping on mimosas and doting on the lovely bride. We lucked out with some fantastic weather that day, with a gentle wind and clouds that helped shade the hot Florida sun. This made portraits of the bride and her bridesmaids a breeze to capture on the hotel patio. The groomsmen all gathered on the roof of the hotel to watch the girls as we captured portraits, all hooting and hollering, of course.
We jetted off to greet the groom and his groomsmen, who were sipping on beers and cracking jokes. This made their portraits a comedy routine, especially when we asked them to all “saunter” towards the camera. Get a wedding crew of men together and hilarity ensues; they definitely had us laughing (with them not at them. Ok, maybe at them too).
Our lovebirds opted for a “first look” before the wedding ceremony, this helped calm their nerves and give them some time alone together. Sean was in awe of his gorgeous bride, and the two were all smiles and giggles seeing each other.
Jenna and Sean’s outdoor ceremony at The Rusty Pelican was a special event for their closest friends and family. They said “I do” in the joyous affair as guests cheered on the newly Mr. and Mrs. Afterwards, the party started inside at their reception. Their room was decorated with pink and white floral centerpieces and soft candlelight. The blush colored uplighting also added an intimate glow to the space and helped transform the look and feel of the room once the sun set.
Guests laughed and enjoyed the toasts from the maid of honor and best man and spent the night dancing and celebrating with the couple. We were so honored to be able to capture such a romantic and unforgettable day for Jenna and Sean and we loved being a part of it. We wish them nothing but the best in their marriage and can’t wait to watch their love and family grow. We hope you are having a great time on your honeymoon in Hawaii, Sean and Jenna! xo
