A Safe Space to Feel Beautiful

July 31, 2020

I take great responsibility in creating a space for my clients to feel comfortable, and safe. The space you are in during your boudoir session is one of the most important elements to making my clients experience a great one.

It’s important that the trust between the photographer and the client is there. Through out these sessions I am sure to guide you so that you have a chance to warm up to the camera.

This is one of the reason why I tell my boudoir clients to bring an outfit to start off with that is comfy and makes them feel beautiful. I always will start off a boudoir session with my clients in this outfit first, and often times, the pictures we get from it are their favorites.

People are always intimidated by the word boudoir, but you don’t have to be half dressed to feel sexy. Boudoir is less about how you look and more about how you feel. That is why my number one goal during a boudoir session is to make you feel safe, comfortable, and most importantly beautiful.

Boudoir is about who you are NOW

July 27, 2020

A little Monday reminder for you….

EVERY body is a GOOD body! I know we live in a culture that is constantly promoting and pushing ideals.. and I also know so many of you have goals and put in hard work to achieve those goals for how you want to look and feel. Remember, the grass is greener where you water it.. meaning if you take care and LOVE the body you have right in this given moment, you will flourish. Unconditional love is meant for yourself as well. It’s amazing what can be accomplished once that barrier is crossed- going from loathing and wanting different.. to accepting and loving what is.. it’s incredible how much more enjoyable, and in ways easier, the journey will be- just with that shift of mindset.

Embrace who you are in this very moment and reward yourself with an empowering boudoir session.
What negative thoughts about yourself do you need to let go of today in order for you to love yourself more?

Wear Your Confidence

July 20, 2020

“How to get a bikini body: 1) buy a bikini 2) put it on your body.”

— Whitney, ADP Diamond Girl

Wise words from an ADP Diamond Girl. I love it when my clients carrying on the mindset of self love long after their sessions. Boudoir is somewhat of a transformation of yourself view, and I can not tell you how happy it makes me feel when I see Diamond girls continue to live out their new positive mindset.

But when you think about it, that’s all their really is to it. You can wear whatever makes YOU feel good. You want to wear a bikini… who’s stopping you. I feel like sometimes we start to build this shell around ourselves and start to limit ourselves. I want to change that. Don’t let society decide what you should be happy in. It’s your body, your skin and no one else’s. No more doubt, no more self consciousness. YOU are limitless. So I challenge you… try something on that you’ve always wanted to try. You may be surprised how easy it is to feel beautiful when you’re being true to your inner self.

Heartwarming Words from Boudoir Client

July 17, 2020

Often times my job allows me the opportunity to hear the most inspiring stories that remind me of why I do what I do. With her permission, I wanted to share the heart warming words my recent clients shared with me leading up to her boudoir session. Her words truly touched me and I’m sure many of you can relate. To G: I hope your session today was everything you wanted it to be!

“Hi Andi,

I am so excited for today!

I have been meaning to email you since our pre-consultation. The whole drive home I started contemplating my story, and have continued to process this with each step in preparation I have taken for today, and how it has lead me to this moment.

When I think of my story, I think of all the experiences combined that have brought me to you. Struggling with Anorexia, which many young girls do, as it takes different forms throughout life – especially during the darkest times (saving my ex-husband in 9 suicide attempts, trapped in marriage filled with emotional abuse and physical intimidation, and continued abuse for an additional 3 years after we divorced). I was able to live through it and be my own tower of strength (in additional to having my family and so many girlfriends supporting me).

Our girlfriends are vital to living the best life we can lead. And through one of my most amazing girlfriends, Jennifer Lind, I found you. Both she and I continue to advocate and encourage our friends (personal and professional) to join your empowering group.

Because of what I have endured throughout my life, personally being in the trenches of mental health and domestic violence, I have even more so dedicated my life to helping others – especially teenage girls, women, and couples.

Most women struggle with seeing our beauty. And it’s quite fascinating and humbling to see yourself for someone else’s point of view – it can be what you hope people see in you and also totally different from the way you view yourself.

Now I’m in a relationship with my mancrush and embracing the joy of being with him, loved by both our families, along with the explosion of emotional support in our healthcare world for our happiness … it’s a lovefest everyday of people sharing joy, wishes of happiness, and support for me in my journey individually as well as with him.

Our photo session today is that next step for me, personally, as well as the next step in my relationship with the infamous mancrush.

Cya soon!! Xoxoxoxo”

How to Prep Your Butt for Boudoir

July 13, 2020

Let’s face it, butt acne is a thing. Even if it’s a few bump hear and there, acne of the booty can put a damper on anyone esteem… especially on Boudoir day.

Even though butt acne is an imperfection that a lot of people feel self-conscious about, it shouldn’t be… because we all have been there! Some say butt acne reflects our health, our eating, our mood… others say that they just have really sweaty butts! Regardless of what side of the butt spectrum you are on let’s just face it, butt acne is a fact of life and it always will be. Here are some tips on how to tame your hiney.

Get ready to prep, prime and shine your buns!

Pre-shower booty love: Butt mask. It’s like a face mask, but for your butt. This is for your specifically designated self-care days. If you haven’t had a self-care day in a while or don’t do this routine at all, maybe now it a good time to change it up. A butt face mask is a good place to start to cleanse and detoxify your buns back there. Butt masks are easy to find and easy to wash off. All you have to do is apply the mask 5 or 10 minutes before your shower and then wash it away easy peasy.

On days when you’re not feeling the ritual of soaking in a mask, you can give your buns a little extra love and pick a medium to light exfoliant. This is great to get any dirt and grime that may be left behind. Also, your face isn’t the only thing that acne medication can be applied to. If you think about it, skin is skin, if you had acne on your face what would you do. Acne medication, wether store bought or prescribed may be the solution you’ve been looking for.

For something quick and easy, acne pads are quick and easy way to clear up blemishes on your buns. It’s fast! All you have to do is swipe the pads on a few times over and boom you’re done.

The topic of butts is a silly yet complex topic. I feel like I haven’t even scratched the surface. But for now, I hope these quick little tips sends you off on a journey to clear buns.

Let’s end the booty neglect — and of course a couple of extra squats never hurt anyone.
