What a beautiful and memorable wedding weekend for Jen and Will; their lovely wedding at the Renaissance Vinoy was full of love and laughter. We spent the afternoon with Jen and her bridesmaids as they were getting glammed-up; her girls wore beautiful, fuschia colored bridesmaids dresses. It was exciting to see their faces as Jen put on her wedding dress, she was truly a stunning bride! And her wedding gown was AMAZING! Will and his groomsmen were relaxed, as most of grooms are, casually drinking some beers and watching the Kentucky Derby on TV. Will had gifted the guys some feathered bowties from Brackish to wear for the wedding. They were so unique and fun! Will is quite the watch connoisseur, so Jen gave him a beautiful new addition as his wedding present; he must have got the memo too, because he gave her a gorgeous Rolex!
Jen and Will chose to partake in a first look; it is always a big moment of anticipation for not only our couples, but for us as well! Having a first look helped calm their nerves before ceremony and also allowed more time for portraits beforehand. It is easy to take pictures of these two; they are very photogenic and aren’t afraid to be sweet and mushy in front of our cameras. Kissing, snuggles, laughs…they gave it all! They also had their fur-baby, Maverick, join them for portraits…he is the cutest!
Their beautiful ceremony in the tea garden at the Vinoy was full of their closest friends and family. Guests helped celebrate their nuptials and headed to cocktail hour to mingle while we stole Jen and Will for some sunset portraits by the water. Portraits were very important to the two of them, so we lucked out by getting to spend lots of time capturing their love together. Their reception room was decorated with lovely ivory, pink, and purple floral centerpieces, romantic pink uplighting, and soft candlelight. Jen and Will were in awe seeing the room before guests were ushered in; they even had a few moments to practice their choreographed dance! (Which was flawless) Guests danced the night away, enjoyed the photo-booth, and snacked on doughnuts from the Mini-Doughnut Factory.
We had the best day witnessing such memorable moments between Jen and Will and were honored to be the lucky ones chosen to capture all of their special moments. We wish them nothing but love and happiness; congrats you two!
