We are so happy to be sharing Courtney and Jamie’s Davis Islands Garden Club wedding; we had been anxiously awaiting their big day for quite some time-we just adore them! Courtney and her lovely bridesmaids and handsome man of honor (yes, her man of honor was her brother!) got ready for the big day at the Tampa Marriot Waterside, where everyone was surprisingly calm, cool, and collected. Jamie gifted Courtney with a gorgeous strand of pearls that made her very emotional. We strolled the second floor of the hotel, capturing some bridal portraits and family portraits- mom couldn’t help but shed a couple of tears seeing her beautiful daughter in her wedding gown.
We headed over to the Davis Islands Garden club to meet the guys, who were also very relaxed (this was clearly a low stress wedding party!) and chatted with the guys while taking some groomsmen portraits. We gave Jamie his gift from Courtney, and his reaction was priceless! We will admit, we were a part of his surprise gift; Courtney had come to the ADP studio weeks prior for a Tampa beauty session, our modern twist on pre-wedding portraits – a little bit of boudoir and a little bit of glam.
Their intimate ceremony in front of the gazebo of the DIGC was truly special for their friends and family. Pictures of family members who had passed also had a front row seat to their nuptials, beside their parents. Afterward, we had the opportunity to capture some amazing sunset portraits of the new bride and groom and we must say, we had a phenomenal sky that night! Their reception kicked off with their first dance, and also a father-daughter dance that really got the party started. Guests were surprised to see a choreographed dance to “Uptown Funk,” complete with sunglasses.
For the remainder of the night, guests nibbled on delicious cupcakes and danced the night away on the veranda. We, of course, got our groove on a little too. It was such a special night and we are so honored to be a part of Courtney and Jamie’s wedding day. They are genuinely the sweetest, silliest, and most adorable couple- we are so glad to have them as clients and friends. Congrats Courtney and Jamie! XO!
